Hill County Community Foundation Announces 2019 Grant Recipients

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Community Foundation has announced six grant recipients for the 2019 grant cycle. This years grant cycle was very competitive and they received fourteen applications for funding.

This year’s grantees are CASA of Hill County, the Havre Main Street Group, Stone Child College, North Star Hingham Pool, Shakespeare in the Parks and the Van Orsdel SOS Committee.

CASA of Hill County will use these funds to provide basic need to children in Hill County who enter the foster care system as a result of abuse or neglect. The Havre Main Street Group’s grant project involves the creation of artwork for the public to enjoy in a downtown ‘Art Alley.’ Stone Child College will host a ceremonial ribbon skirt class to help preserve Native American traditions. The North Star Hingham Pool will be making much needed improvements to their pool, which is widely used by Hill County residents. Shakespeare in the Parks will help sponsor a summer production on the MSU-Northern campus. The Van Orsdel SOS Committee will be stocking their pantry to provide emergency food and supplies to those in need.
