Hill County Community Foundation Endowment Breaks $100,000

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Community Foundation has announced their endowment fund has surpassed $100,000.

Foundation Chair Pam Veis says this marks a major milestone for the affiliate of the Montana Community Foundation.

“It has meant a tremendous amount that we’ve got it to $100,000. That just means that on an annual basis the endowment will be able to grant out funds permanently really, because the endowment is there forever. So we’re very excited about it.”

HCCF provides grants to local non-profits annually. In 2021, seven grants of $1,000 were awarded to organizations such as the Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department.

“They have been raising funds for the building of a new fire hall, which is much needed,” said Veis.
