(Havre) – At the Hill County Commission meeting on Thursday, Commissioners Jake Strissel and Bill Lanier updated those in attendance on the work of the Hill County Council on Aging which oversees the senior citizen centers in Havre and Rudyard.
They announced that the commodities for distribution in May have arrived at the Havre Senior Center and will be distributed in the coming week. The Council on Aging has hired a new delivery driver for the Meals on Wheels program in Havre and that is Robert Floren. Applications closed on Monday May 4th, for the Council on Aging Advisory Board and the commissioners plan to conduct interviews for those positions the week of May 11th.
Finally, the commissioners thanked everyone who has been volunteering at the senior center in Havre and said they can always use more You do not have to be a senior citizen to volunteer. Call 406-265-5464.
