(Havre) – The Hill County Democrat Central Committee met Wednesday night to select three names to replace Bill Lanier on the Hill County Commission.
Five People were nominated for the position, Ishmael Amaro, Perry Atchison, Kevin Corner, Gerald “Jerry” Lunak, and Randy Cloninger. After the voting, the party selected Lunak, Atchison, and Amaro to be forwarded as the name to the Hill County Commission.
Current Hill County Commissioners Jake Strissel and Sheri Williams will select Lanier’s replacement until December 31st, 2026. There will be a special Hill County Commissioner Election in November to fill the remaining four years of Lanier’s term.
