(Havre) – The Hill County Democrat Central Committee has set the date for the nominating convention to fill the District 2 Hill County Commission Seat vacated on August 2nd by Sheri Williams.
The meeting will take place on Thursday August 27th at 6pm at Beaver Creek Perk in Havre. All District 2 residents who are interested in applying for this seat are asked to complete an application on the Hill County Democrat Central Committee Facebook page.
By Montana Code Annotated, the Democrat Party will select three names to forward to Hill County Commissioners Jake Strissel and Perry Atchison. The two current commissioners will interview the three names forwarded by the Hill County Democrat Central Committee and then chose one to fill the remainder of the District 2 term which runs until December 31st, 2028.
