HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Health Board met online on Friday afternoon to discuss their continued response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Health Board reminded residents that garage sales are not essential and are currently prohibited. They said they had received some reports of residents intending to hold garage sales.
County Attorney Karen Alley added that the community has been following the numerous directives, and no citations have been issued.
“We’ve had very few compliance issues. And what we have, we’ve handled with some informal conversations. Letters, emails, that sort of thing. So that’s gone extremely well, I feel.”
County Health Officer Jessica Sheehy says even if the Governor extends the Stay-At-Home order past April 24th, if local COVID-19 numbers remain near current levels, the county may choose to relax some of their rules, such as the order that closed golf courses.
As of Friday evening, 51 Hill County residents have been tested for COVID-19. One test came back positive, 45 came back negative and six are pending.
The individual that tested positive has since recovered.
The Health Board said that the county still has adequate testing capabilities, and could be receiving more tests in the coming weeks.
