HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Health Consortium will be holding their quarterly meeting next month at the Boys & Girls Club Multi-Purpose Room. A press release says that the meeting will be on Wednesday, July 24th from 3:30 to 5 PM.
Susan Brurud with the HELP Committee says they have about 65 members in the consortium, including schools, the sheriff’s office, Northern Montana Hospital, the Health Department and many others throughout Hill County.
At their last meeting, they identified three areas where they wanted to create change in the community. They include access to dental care, obesity, and substance abuse and misuse. These goals were identified after they finished and presented a Community Health Needs Assessment.
The Hill County Health Consortium has been around for about 15 years and have worked on several projects to better health in our community.
