HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A man was sentenced in Hill County District Court last week after pleading guilty to a felony drug distribution charge, and had a suspended sentence revoked for a previous felony.
Shawn Keith Rosette, born in 1992, was sentenced Monday by Judge Kaydee Snipes-Ruiz to five years in the Department of Corrections, all suspended, after being found guilty of felony conspiracy for criminal distribution of dangerous drugs. Rosette was also sentenced to three years in the DOC, none suspended, after his suspended sentence for felony failure to register as a sexual or violent offender was revoked.
The sentences are to be run concurrently.
Rosette will receive credit for 164 days served for the failure to register sentence, and 102 days credit for the drug distribution felony.
Rosette will have the opportunity to pursue chemical dependency treatment.
Rosette is currently in the Hill County Detention Center, where he has been held since April 24th.
