HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Health Department reported 36 new cases of COVID-19 and one COVID-19 related death on Friday.
28 of the new cases were identified through contact tracing, while eight have unknown exposures.
The cases range in age from a woman in her 80’s to five people under the age of 10.
Hill County has now reported 871 total covid-19 cases. 293 are active, including a record 22 hospitalizations. 555 have recovered and 23 have died
Also on Friday, 12 people met the recovery criteria, one hospitalization was discharged and two cases required hospitalization.
Havre Public Schools
On Friday evening, Havre Public Schools reported two District-associated COVID-19 cases.
Both individuals were in contact with the District during the period of possible exposure. One was last at Sunnyside Elementary on October 28th, while the other was last at Havre High School on October 29th.
Contact tracing is ongoing, and anyone at risk of exposure will be contacted.
School officials will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information if and when it becomes available.
Havre Public Schools move from fully remote back to hybrid learning on October 28th after a special School Board meeting. If outbreaks and/or large number of quarantines are identified at specific buildings, the Superintendent’s Administrative Team can decide to temporarily move a building back to remote learning until the next board meeting.
