Havre, MT – Led by Senior Canzas HisBadHorse the MSU-Northern Skylights basketball program has started off 7-3 and 5-2 in conference play. The skylights only conference losses were to the number four team in the country (Dakota State University).
The Skylight senior is settling into the season and head coach of the Skylights, Chris Mouat, knows why.
“She’s making threes. That’s the biggest thing. She is really good on the boards. Scores her fair share of points inside but when she is hitting threes her game is pretty complete and she is very hard to guard. That’s the biggest thing. Her percentages will climb, and they’ll get back where they should be because she is a really good shooter.”
HisBadHorse leads the team in scoring at 15.1 points per game while also leading the team in rebounding at 8.6 per game. Skylight senior ranks fifth in both categories among all Frontier conference players.
HisBadHorse and the Skylights are 7-3 and are still receiving votes in the national 25 poll.
