Hoarding, Wayfinding Signs and Project Updates at City Council Meeting

(Havre) – The Havre City Council met in regular session Monday Night at City Hall.

Mayor Wade Bitz opened the meeting with public comment, where several residents talked about local hoarding issues. Following a presentation on how hoarding impacts public safety, Mayor Bitz proclaimed October 2026 as Hoarding Awareness Month in Havre.

In other business, Julea Robbins from Bear Paw Development Corporation presented plans for new wayfinding signs around the city. The project is fully funded by a Montana Department of Commerce tourism grant and requires no local tax dollars.

Public Works Director Trevor Mork also updated the council on completed 2026 projects and outlined proposals for next year. Additionally, Mork announced the final Safe Streets for All public meeting is scheduled for Thursday October 15th, from 4pm to 6pm at City Hall.

The next Havre City Council meeting is set for Monday, November 2nd at 7pm.
