Toole County Police Chase and Crash

(Shelby) – The Toole County dispatch center received a call at 11:26PM on October 5th regarding a vehicle revving its engine aggressively near 6th Street South. Deputies located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop via emergency lights and sirens. The vehicle failed to yield and drove at high speeds through residential areas.

A deputy made intentional contact with their patrol vehicle after the driver failed to yield at multiple intersections. The suspect vehicle struck a pole on 12th Avenue South, where they were extricated and sustained serious injuries. They were transported to a higher level of medical care and are reported to be in stable condition. The driver’s name is not being released at this time as the incident remains under investigation.
