(Havre) – In May of 2022, Havre Public Schools set up a committee to work on on identifying at risk students and lowering the dropout rate District.
Superintendent Craig Mueller spoke to New Media Broadcasters and tells us how changes at Havre High School are playing a role in these efforts.
“You know, several staffing changes at Havre High School created an environment that’s conducive to change and conducive to addressing the needs of students that are struggling in school and are looking for other avenues.”
Another key component of this committee’s plan is utilizing data and statistics
“Those metrics deal very specifically with an early warning stability score and an early warning attendance score.”
Once At-Risk Students are identified, then Havre Public Schools will utilize a team approach to work with those students
