The Havre Public Schools Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 13th.
The meeting opened with a presentation of the Pony Pride Award, presented by an emotional Pamela Tackitt, who will be leaving the district at the end of the year. This month’s recipient was the principal of Highland Park School, Hayley Criner.
There was also a presentation from Sunnyside Intermediate School students, on their Mrs. Lynch class council activities. Funds for Mrs. Lynch’s Paper recycling project are currently frozen.
The board is moving forward with allowing eighth grade athletes to play high school level sports, with many comments of approval from coaches and school administrators.
The next meeting is scheduled for June 10th.
