(Helena) – In January, the Montana Department of Commerce awarded Agritourism grants to organizations across the state. District 4 Human Resources Development Council in Havre was awarded one of these grants for Havre’s Community Garden. Mandy Rambo, Montana Department of Commerce Assistant Director, explains how HRDC will utilize these funds.
“The big thing they’re doing with this funding is building a greenhouse. So, the greenhouse will allow them to expand their growing season, which then allows them to do additional workshops and teaching opportunities for both citizens and for tourists to come and see the workshops and learn about how to plant their own garden, how to take care of their plants and how to get the best outputs from their garden.”
