The new hunting license year is coming up with Fish, Wildlife and Parks. Marc Kloker the Region Six Communication and Education Program Manager explains the details of apply for your hunting permits.
“One of the most exciting things coming up is our new license year. So, for the last quite a few numbers of years now March 1st is that first date that you can come in and start buying actually any or all of your licenses and put in for special permits. So, the first drawing deadline or application deadline is April 1st. So, you have from March 1st to April 1st to put in for any special deer permits or any special elk permits, like an archery elk permit or a rifle elk permit, that all has to be done in March, but we have other deadlines after that. By May 1st you have to put in for your moose, sheep, goat, or bison application. Then finally June 1st is the deadline to put in for cow elk, antelope, or deer B licenses, and actually this changed a couple years ago, you can put in for all your licenses and permits starting March 1st, if you want to put in for moose then, for cow elk, for antelope, or whatever you can do all that right away if you choose.” -Marc Kloker
