HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – An Ice Fishing Tournament is scheduled to take place this Saturday at Fresno Reservoir.
Although the weather has been above average lately, Kodi Peterson says the ice on the lake remains in good shape.
“The ice conditions are really good. I believe 18-20 inches is what the ice fishermen told me this last weekend. There is a pretty good pressure ridge out there, so people need to avoid that.”
A chili feed will follow the tournament on Saturday evening.
Cash prizes will be awarded to those who catch the largest fish of each species. Kids under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration is at 7 AM at Fresno Tavern, and a mandatory rules meeting will take place at 7:30 AM.
The entry fee is $25, and registration forms are available at Fresno Tavern, Stromberg’s Sinclair, and Blaine County Journal.
