Important Law Enforcement Training

Havre Sector Border Patrol and other law enforcement are engaged in very important training involving Havre Public Schools.

Mike Rappold the Havre Station Patrol Agent in charge explains that important training.

“Well, the active shooter training in particular is something that we have been focusing on in Havre Sector as a whole for a while. Multiple stations up and around Havre Sector get with their local law enforcement partners and we work jointly with them on how to respond to possible active shooters at our schools. Situations such as Uvalde, Sandy Hook, and Columbine there’s multiple instances where multiple agencies have to come together to work to mitigate threats that are endangering our children. So, I think it’s very important that we get out there and we do these things jointly and we do our training. We try to have the training in the summertime when the kids are off, and the schools are vacant so this way we can get a good feel for the layout, and we work with the school system to be able to educate the teachers as well as our other stakeholders here in town.”-Mike Rappold
