MISSOULA, Mont. (NMB) – Mayoral elections were held in some of Montana’s largest cities this week, and incumbents held on in every instance.
In Great Falls, Mayor Bob Kelly took down challenger Fred Burow after earning 62 percent of votes cast.
In Missoula, Mayor John Engen received over 60 percent of the vote, fending off a challenge from Jacob Elder.
In Helena, Mayor Wilmot Collins earned nearly 70 percent of the vote and defeated opponent Sonda Gaub.
In Kalispell, more than 72 percent of voters selected Mayor Mark Johnson to serve another term, allowing him to take the victory over City Councilor Sid Daoud.
And in Billings, Mayor Bill Cole did not face any opposition and will be re-elected by acclamation.
