Individuals walk from Big Sandy to Box Elder in solidarity.

(Box Elder) In a demonstration of solidarity, members of the Big Sandy and Box Elder community took part in a five-hour march from Big Sandy to Box Elder.

Big Sandy is about 10 miles from Box Elder, and those that took part in the march said it took around 5 hours to complete.

The walk began at 9am in Big Sandy, and the group did not reach Box Elder until around 2pm.

The march was meant to show support for the recently deceased members of the rural Box Elder town, as well as raise awareness for drug trafficking, something that some in Box Elder and the larger Rocky Boy reservation have been vocal about since the double homicide killings of Darin Bernard Caplette and Thomas Roderick Yallup earlier this year.
