Montana Commissioner of Insurance James Brown has been busy protecting Montanans from being scammed. Brown told New Media Broadcasters of one such incident.
“My office just took action, decisive action, in fact, against a company called Strategic Limited Partnerships. And the company was not licensed to issue insurance policies in Montana. But, unfortunately, we had some folks come to our office that they had purchased what they thought were quality health insurance plans through this company. But when they submitted claims for medical expenses, they found out this company would not cover them. So, we did a little investigation on this company and found out they have been a bad actor nationwide. 136 complaints have been filed about the company across the country, ranging from the company’s failure to pay claims, being unreachable by phone or email, or representing that it offered APA approved plans when it did not.”
