FLATHEAD COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Highway Patrol says a 41-year-old Kalispell man was killed and two others were injured when an ATV and a pickup truck collided on Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred at 4:55 PM in Kalispell, when a 30-year-old Idaho man in a Toyota Tundra was traveling southbound on Whitefish Stage and attempted to make a left turn. At the same time, the Kalispell man was driving a Polaris ATV northbound at a suspected high rate of speed when it struck the passenger side of the Tundra.
The driver of the ATV was transported to a hospital and pronounced deceased.
The passenger in the ATV, a 43-year-old woman from Marion, Montana, sustained serious injuries.
The Tundra driver was the only one wearing a seatbelt. They suffered minor injuries.
The road was clear and dry.
