KALISPELL, Mont. — A landowner near Condon and Seeley Lake shot and killed a grizzly bear that charged him last Tuesday night.
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks says the man was checking on his livestock and dogs after hearing a disturbance when the bear charged.
He was not injured.
Wildlife officials remind the public that bears are active across Montana and to take precautions—like carrying bear spray, securing attractants, and never feeding wildlife.
