Library gets Slice of Literacy Grant

(Havre) – The Pizza Hut Foundation recently awarded the Havre-Hill County Library $10,000 through their Slice of Literacy Program. Ashley Verity, Children’s Librarian tells us more about the program and how the dollars will be used.

“It’s basically a continuation of their book it program but making it community wide and we’re just very pleased and excited to implement this in our children’s area.”

The Slice of Literacy Grant provides up to $10,000 per award to public libraries and nonprofit organizations that are actively working to improve literacy outcomes in communities where Pizza Hut operates. The program aims to expand access to books, encourage reading for pleasure, and support literacy-focused programming for children and families.
