The MSU-Northern Lights defeated the Carroll College Fighting Saints 66-62 Saturday evening in the Armory Gym. In part two of the double header held at MSU-Northern, the Lights and Fighting Saints both came into the game with only one lose on their record.
It was a battle all game as MSU-Northern held onto a lead most of the 2nd half with multiple runs to extend the lead to 8+ points, but Carroll would battle back every time making it a one possession game mid-way through the 4th quarter. The lights were later able to pull away and make key free throws down the stretch to pull out the 4-point victory. With four players with 10+ points in the matchup, a great team victory for head coach Shawn Huse.
The Lights now sit at an impressive 7-1 record on the season, back in action Saturday December 9th as the travel to take on Corban University. Tip-off is at 5PM.
