Butte, MT – Montana State University-Northern Skylights volleyball concluded the weekend on a rough note loosing three sets to two against Ottawa University Arizona Saturday afternoon.
The game was competitive with each team alternating set wins. OUA took set one 25-19, MSU-N took set two 25-11, and OUA took set three 25-18. The skylights forced a fifth and final set after claiming victory in set four 25-19, before dropping set number five 15-9. This weekend in Butte concluded non-conference play for Northern Volleyball.
Skylights volleyball scored seven Aces, and 42 kills, while securing 39 assists and 81 digs. Northern gave up 59 kills and 53 assists in the loss.
Addison Falls Down and Macee Selman continued their great weekend assisting with 19 for Falls Down and 14 for Selman.
Baily Egan led northern in digs with 21, and Lexi Jones secured 11 kills to lead the team.
Skylights volleyball will begin play in the newly expanded Frontier Conference on the road at Rocky Mountain College Friday, September 5, at 6p.m. and Saturday, September, 6 at 1p.m. at Carroll College.
