Havre, MT – MSU-Northern Lights hosted Lakeland University on Sunday and Monday for a pair of games. The Lights won on Sunday 95-47 and claimed an 85-61 victory on Monday afternoon in the exhibition game. The Lights improve to 8-5 overall on the year after playing their last non-conference game.
Head coach of the Lights Shawn Huse, says these games were great for his team get back into a rhythm before conference play resumes.
“Really well. The team we played is number nine in Canada at their level. I thought they did a good job pushing us early in particular. That Lakeland team is a good team, and you have to work to get rebounds and their physical and their athletic and for us to come back from break and get some work in like that its really good for us.”
The Lights will resume conference play on Friday at Valley City State University.
