Lights Linebacker Ready for Spring

Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern Lights football is in the midst of spring practices, and Lights defensive leader, Brayden Cline explained how winter conditioning has helped them step things up this spring.

“We’re stronger, faster, we move like athletes now. We do athletic workouts. So that’s going to help us especially in football because we usually just do simple body builder lifts and now we got football lifts.”

Cline also spoke to where his mindset is for spring practices. “Really just improve on last year because there of places that need improvement and just kind of working out some kinks and trying to improve a lot more because I have a lot more to prove.”

From the linebacker position in the 2025 season Cline led Lights in tackles with 119 and will spearhead another talented defense in 2026.
