Lights & Skylights Summer BB Leagues Start This Week

(NMB) Starting Monday night June 2nd and continuing every Monday through July 7th, MSU Northern Lights basketball will be holding their summer league for kids in grades four through 12. New Media Broadcasters spoke with Lights head coach Shawn Huse and he said that each night will start with fundamental work and will continue with team competition, all designed to help kids with their all-around basketball game.

“Doing different things to help them with ball movement, spacing, screening, ball handling, so, I think it’s a lot of fun. I think the kids like it, they enjoy the competition and then at the end of the night they find out who the summer leaguer of the night is.”

Grades 4 through 6 start at 4:20pm, 7th through 9th graders begin at 5:45pm and 10th, 11th and 12th grades start at 7:30pm.

Coach Chris Mouat and the Skylights summer League will begin on Thursday June 5th and continue through July 10th. Intermediate players will begin at 4:00 pm each week with High School age starting at 7:00 pm.
