Havre, MT – Deborah Callahan and MSU-Northern Lights cross Country has announced the signing of Kayden Rutherford out of Browning high school.
Rutherford is a stronger runner for both cross country and distance track. His personal best for the 5000 meters is 17:33. On the track at Browning Kayden ran 53.79 seconds in the 400 meters, 2:08 in the 800 meters, and 5:17 in the 1600 meters. During the offseasons Rutherford wrestled and played golf.
While at Browning Kayden was named to All-Conference and Academic All-State Honors. Coach Callahan made the following statement about Rutherford’s commitment to Northern.
“I am excited that Kayden is bringing his talent and leadership to MSU-Northern and joining our running program. Though reserved, his determination and discipline show a strong work ethic. He carefully assesses situations before making plans. We are excited to be part of his academic and athletic career.”
Kayden plans to major in Electrical Engineering while at MSU-Northern.
