HAVRE, Mont (NMB) – Last week, a man was arrested on suspicion of the theft of two vehicles from the Havre area. Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich says, as of Wednesday morning, Isaac Chapa is being held on two pending charges of felony motor vehicle theft and two pending counts of driving with a suspended license.
Matosich says that on December 11th at about 2 AM, they received a call about a stolen Chevy pickup truck. Two days later, at about 2:30 AM, a Trailblazer was reported stolen. Both vehicles had been left running with the keys in them when they were taken.
On December 13th, Chapa was arrested and both vehicles were recovered. The pickup was located on the reservation and the Trailblazer was found in the Highland Park area. There was no damage to the Trailblazer and they were waiting for the pickup owner to confirm whether it suffered damage or not.
