BUTTE, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Standard reports that a 42-year-old Butte man was killed in a shooting on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred just prior to 7 PM at a residence on the 800 block of South Main Street. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to a local hospital.
County Sheriff Ed Lester told the Standard that multiple people who were at the residence when the shooting occurred have been detained or questioned, but would not release any other information.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no threat to the public.
