Man Who Walked Away from Pre-Release Arrested in Rocky Boy

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A Havre man who walked away from a Billings pre-release center last week was arrested on charges of obstructing a peace officer, possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia on Wednesday. Zachariah Lee Ambler is also charged with escape out of Powell County.

Ambler was transported to the Hill County Detention Center and was still in custody Thursday morning. He has a $1,705 bond for the obstruction and drug charges, and no bond for the escape charge.

Ambler walked away from the Alpha House Men’s Pre-Release Center on July 20th. He was most recently sentenced for criminal possession of dangerous drugs out of Lake County last August. The escape charge brings the potential of a ten year sentence.
