WEST GLACIER, Mont. — Beginning Tuesday, private vehicle access to Many Glacier will be restricted to visitors with camping or lodging reservations, or commercial service bookings.
All other day hikers must use the Many Glacier Day Hiker Shuttle due to the Swiftcurrent Construction Project.
Shuttle tickets cost $2 and are available on recreation.gov seven days in advance at 8 a.m., and at 7 p.m. the night before.
All trails will remain accessible via detours from the Many Glacier Hotel.
Hiking or biking on Many Glacier Road will not be permitted from July 1st to September 21st.
