MDT Proposes US Highway 2 Reconstruction Near Zurich; Public Input Encouraged

ZURICH, Mont. — The Montana Department of Transportation is proposing a project to reconstruct approximately 7 miles of U.S. Highway 2 near Zurich.

The plan includes wider shoulders, a 4-lane passing section, new pavement, updated signage, and replacement of three bridges with culverts and a new structure.

Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2029, pending design completion and funding.

MDT invites public comments on the project and encourages community involvement in the planning process.
