(Phillips County) The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to announce and invite the public to comment on a proposal to reconstruct about 7 miles of US Highway 191 (US 191), northeast of Zortman.
The project begins at Ranch Road, and extends north, ending near mile marker 130.
Proposed work includes rebuilding the roadway to include 6 foot wide shoulders, replacing the bridge over Little Warm Creek, and flattening roadside slopes, upgraded pavement markings, as well as installing new signage and guardrail.
The purpose of the project is to update this narrow section of US 191 and enhance safety features for travelers.
