HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Starting on Monday, July 7th, the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Century Companies, Inc. will begin work on a construction project on Boulevard Avenue in Havre.
The project will feature improvements to the roadway, curbs and gutters, and ADA sidewalk corners.
Work will begin at the intersection of 11th Street West and Boulevard Avenue and will extend approximately one mile to the intersection of 2nd Street West and Boulevard Avenue.
Work will occur on weekdays between 7 AM and 7 PM. Weekend work is not planned but may be necessary if unexpected weather delays occur. During construction, workers will overlay paving between 11th Street and 9th Street and reconstruct the roadway north of 9th Street to 2nd Street West while improving ADA access to the intersections along Boulevard Avenue at 10th Street and 9th Street.
The public should expect delays of up to 10 minutes, traffic reduced to a single-lane, and flaggers on site.
Construction is expected to wrap up in September 2021.
The portion of the Boulevard Avenue project that the City of Havre is in charge of is expected to be completed by the end of next week. That project features the replacement of a water line.
