HELENA, Mont. – The Montana Facility Finance Authority has closed a $2 million loan for the Native American Development Corporation to support construction of a new healthcare clinic in Billings. The MFFA, a self-supporting enterprise fund administratively attached to the Montana Department of Commerce, provides access to financing for nonprofit healthcare organizations through tax-exempt bond financing, low-interest loans and planning grants.
The financing will help NADC build a new facility on the former Shrine Auditorium site, expanding access to culturally responsive healthcare for Native communities while increasing capacity, modernizing services and improving patient access.
“This financing represents more than an investment in our organization — it is an investment in the health, resilience, and future of our community,” said Leonard Smith, CEO of NADC. “The loan is an important milestone in a $23 million project years in the making.”
