HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Milk River Gobblers will be holding their third annual youth fun day this Saturday from 11 AM-4 PM at the Havre Trap Club.
Jeff Dibblee of the Milk River Gobblers says this event is geared towards families with youth ages 8-16 and will include a wide variety of outdoor activities.
“We’re going to have balloon shoots, provided the wind doesn’t blow 100 mph again. We’ll have Clay pigeon shoots, we’ll have face painting done by the Havre High Cheer Squad. We’ll have a fellow from the Bowmen association do archery displays on different variations on how to hunt turkeys and other wildlife. And Fish, Wildlife, and Parks will be on hand with their (anti-poaching) TIP-MONT trailer.”
Dibblee says there will also be the teaching of proper firearm use and the discussion and implementation of game calling techniques.
Lunch will be served for attendees, and children can enter their name into a raffle for a chance to win a youth model rifle.
