HARLEM, Mont. (NMB) – The 55th annual Milk River Indian Days Celebration kicks off Friday on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation. The Grand Entry times will be at 7 PM on Friday, 1 and 7 PM on Saturday, and at 1 PM on Sunday.
The host drums will be Midnight Express out of Twin Cities, Minnesota. They will feature men’s and women’s dances for all age groups, as well as several specials.
Friday at noon will be the annual parade honoring missing and murdered indigenous women and people. The “Mosquito Run” will be held Saturday morning with registration at 8 AM at the Pow Wow Grounds. The run will feature a 1-mile, 5K and 7-mile course.
The celebration will be held at the Fort Belknap Agency, near the junction of U.S. Highway 2 and Route 66.
