(Missoula) Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks says that antler hunters may be facing new traffic regulations during this years opener at the Blackfoot-Clearwater Wildlife Management Area.
FWP says that popularity of the area causes traffic congestion along Highway 83, and they’re looking to the pubic for input in creating solutions and plan details.
FWP says that specifics of the new plan haven’t been decided, but some basics have been. FWP will not be limiting the number of people who can access the WMA on opening day, but staging along highway 83 will be forbidden. Visitors will also need to register for a spot in line ahead of time.
