Montana Reports Over 400 New COVID-19 Cases on Tuesday

HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Department of Public Health and Human Services reported 402 new COVID-19 infections in their Tuesday update, the most new cases in a single day in Montana since January 14th.

The counties with the most new cases are Flathead with 91, Yellowstone with 62, Missoula with 52, Gallatin with 45, Cascade with 22, and Lewis and Clark with 21.

The active case count is now above 1,500 and 112 Montanans are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.

This comes as the more contagious delta variant continues to spread and Montana’s vaccination rate remains stalled – with less than 49 percent of eligible residents fully vaccinated.
