Montana Reports Record Number of COVID-19 Cases

HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Department of Public Health and Human Services dashboard reported 2,227 new COVID-19 cases in Montana in their Tuesday update, which covers Friday through Monday.

Seven different counties reported at least 100 new COVID-19 cases over the reporting period, led by Yellowstone County with 456.

15 COVID-related deaths were reported over those four days, with the overall death toll now at 2,094.

The active case count in Montana has surpassed 12,300, while active hospitalizations are at 489.

54 percent of eligible Montanans are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with over 1.037 million doses of vaccine administered.
