Montana Sage Grouse Program seeking public comment on land easement with

(Montana) The Montana Sage Grouse Habitat Conservation Program is asking for public comment on their proposed use of their stewardship account to benefit sage grouse habitat conservation.

This proposal would create an easement with High Ridge Land, a Wyoming based company that does business out of Roundup, Montana. This easement would be for 2,157 acres of sage grouse around their property in Roundup.

The Montana Sage Grouse Program says that this easement would restore over 1500 acres of crested wheat back into sagebrush and grassland, eliminating it as a monoculture.

All public comments are due by May 22nd at 5pm,
