(Montana) In April, the state of Montana’s unemployment fell to 3.1 percent, and, in turn, employment levels increased.
In comparison, the national unemployment rate rose to 3.9 percent.
Payroll employment also increased by a total of 500 jobs, with the labor force at large growing by just under 1,000 workers. T the most jobs taken were those in the “Professional Services” sector.
These numbers come from the Montana Department of Labor and Industry, and are adjusted seasonally, meaning seasonal jobs were not taken into account for these statistics.
