HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana State Hail Program wants to remind producers to make sure their crops are insured.
With recent weather conditions, it is becoming even more imperative that crops are sufficiently covered.
State hail insurance policies provide a maximum coverage rate of $75 per acre for dryland and $114 per acre for irrigated land. These rates will vary by county.

The deadline to apply for hail insurance is August 15.
