HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The office of Governor Greg Gianforte has announced that Montana’s unemployment rate in February was 2.6 percent, an all-time low.
Montana’s total employment and labor force grew in February, and Gianforte says they set new all-time highs.
Montana’s total employment for February was 542,086, an increase of over 2,300 since January. This includes payroll, agricultural, and self-employed workers,
Meanwhile, the labor force grew to 556,359 for February, an increase of about 1,300 workers since January.
In the press release announcing the figures, Gianforte called out the increasing inflation, urging the federal government to get it “under control by putting an end to its out-of-control spending.”
