Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railway says about 6:39 am on Monday that six cars derailed from a train inside a rail yard in Shelby.
BNSF says there were no reported injuries to the crew and there was no release of hazardous materials. The derailed cars were secured and cleared of the main line later on Monday.
According to Burlington Northern Sante Fe, the cause of the six-car derailment is under investigation.
