The Salvation Army Adopt a Family program is when individuals or business can “adopt a family” by purchasing Christmas gifts for both the kids and parents.
The program is wrapping up, but this year Trina Crawford the Salvation Army Social Services director says that she has seen more need than ever before.
“We always try to choose “Adopt a Families” that are struggling, that are just struggling with the way things are going. With the inflation and with things the way that it has been, again we’re seeing a bigger need than what we’ve ever seen in that. So, it’s just a really great thing to be able to go and buy and bring it back for these people that are just struggling. They’re just trying their very best that they can.”-Trina Crawford
