More Information Released on Havre Storage Unit Theft

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – More information has come to light regarding a reported theft at a Havre storage unit earlier this month.

Court documents filed earlier this month have formally charged Brandon Wallace Beck, 26, of Hogeland, with felony theft of items totaling between $1,500 and $5,000.

An affidavit states that the Hill County Sheriff’s Office was called to a report of items having been stolen from a storage unit on January 3rd. The next day, dispatch received a call that someone was attempting to sell the stolen items.

Items alleged to  have been stolen include two chainsaws, a 55-inch TV, several gaming consoles, a log splitter, camera equipment, and power boxes.

Some of the items were sold to a pawn shop, but all were recovered.

The items were brought to the pawn shop by a different person to be sold, but they have not been charged. That person has told authorities he did not know the items had been stolen.

Beck’s arraignment is set for February 1st in Hill County District Court.
